STAR WARS VII, audition

I just scrolled through facebook and saw this picture, with the text: "STAR WARS, has finally got a name". I am a huge Star Wars fan, and when the production posted an open call for everyone around the world, for the role as Thomas I immediately asked my friend to read against me, so we recorded the scene which was very hard to make standing I remember. But I did it, and I knew I wouldn't get it, but I was so excited to actually send in the audition tape, because it's a huge production. I don't really think I did a good job in that audition tape anyway, because I felt I couldn't act out, and do what I needed to do, because my friend were laughing some times, so I felt awkward. That's Why I like to do auditions in front of people I don't know. I get more relaxed, I don't know why. It should be the opposite, right?

I don't even know if they've watched it, but it's all part of the job. If you don't get a call back, move on. It's important to not give up, because as I said you'll not always get the parts you want, you'll not always fit the description of what they're looking for, so MOVE ON. There are plenty of roles that will fit you, you'll just have to keep looking.

My theory on the whole "open call" thing is that they just did it to gather interest and to make the front page, because It was huge when they released the news. But If you look on IMDb, there are no unknown cast, or even a character called Thomas. So I'll guess we'll have to wait and see when it has premier next year.
